I’ve always wanted a tattoo, but could never decide on a design, until one day my friend mentioned something she wanted, and following her train of thought, I came up with this. It’s based on yin and yang, as that is something I believe is something that we all have, the two halves of a whole, the opposites that make up a being etc. The jandals (thongs/flip-flops) are because I’m Kiwi, from New Zealand, and I live in jandals all summer long, so for me they’re a typically Kiwi necessity.
Tl;dr: This is me, Kiwi, and full of opposites, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

mamihlapinatapai: a look shared by two people with each wishing that the other will initiate something that both desire but which neither one wants to start.
just a little reminder of a time in my life that i never want to forget.
done by the amazing chris bowman at yer cheatin’ heart in hermosa beach, ca.
When i started to think about my tattoo i was 16 years old (Now i’m 24 years old). So, i always want to tattoo a pair of wings because i wanted to represent my freedom by art, by a sign…
That’s why i chose the little wings in my wrists. I took all this time because i was afraid of regret, but now i’m sure about what i did and i love the way i chose to express my freedom =)
